There have been times when I have been p/rude enough to claim that I have incurred no debts. Then thinking that in order to be honest+realistic, I changed claim to being indebted to only 1 immortal soul and 3 living beings. Where I claimed? Mostly in my head to myself. Not being honest with yourself is the worst thing you can do to yourself.

This morning as I was dropping (to be taken in literal sense) pen in my bag, I noticed that that pen didn't belong to me. Ended up checking my bag only to find that none of the pens I was carrying belonged to me. So would be for pencils. Might seem small things. But it is not. Someone chose to help you out when you asked for it. And then there are many who helped you without you knowing about it (BTW whenever I have said "you", me meant "myself". No, I don't have any identity confusions :P). Countless acts of random kindness that innumerable people have bestowed on me.

(Hereafter the 'you's may be read as 'you' only and not as me)
I owe my smiles to all of you and may my prayers be with each one of you. Thank you and Godspeed.

2008 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/402989.html, http://peeyush.livejournal.com/403283.html
2006 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/232238.html
2005 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/90937.html
2004 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/9904.html

Every morning I see several people carrying leashed dogs around. I have never been interested in adopting any animal and/or birdie as pet. Reasons? Additional responsibilities plus leashing thing. I don't like to bind anyone or anything. So me having a pet and strolling with it was never bound to happen. But it still happened. Couple of days back, when I moved out of nandina campus a dog escorted me. It synchronized its walking with me. Then as I reached the milk man person, it took a different lane. It joined me back on my way back home. So you see, me gets a pet for 10 mins.

2004 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/9719.html
No entries in year - 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008

It's raining since morning here. I love rain. Just because I have a meeting coming up this Monday, haven't taken chance with getting drenched in rain.

What's so good about rains? Summers are hot. Air's full of dust. Leaves, plants are all covered up with dust. And then there comes rain. Washing the leaves, cleaning the air. Plants are all green again as if they are full of life again. So is summer evil?

Not at all. Summers are good too. These are the times when many species come out of hibernation. Things which were stopped during winter, start moving back again. Rains won't be there if there be no summer. No evaporation, no clouds. Many living things wait for summer.

What about winter? Honestly speaking, it's my favorite season. Winters let you stop and relax. They help plantation cycle also to cleanse in terms of shedding off old leaves, preparing them for better growth when summer comes in.

All my life, I have known and witnessed only one miracle called Nature. Think of it. Life by itself is nothing less than miracle. Life of not just you and me but of every living being. Starting from being born till death, it's a continuous cycle. And then you see cycle/recycling thing so much in every aspect of nature. Seasons, weather, habitat, ecosystem. And everything is interwoven. There is so much to nature, so much learn from. Nature is life. The only real friend we have. Yet we keep hurting it. Every time we are destroying nature, we are destroying life. Not just of ours but of every living being. Be it plants, be it animal.

Nature was at its creative best when creating human species. Wonder if it would be feeling cheated at times. Misplaced intelligence, huh?

No entries in year - 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008

Though day has not ended yet :P

Have a meeting in Chandigarh. The only direct flight in morning is provided by GoAir and is scheduled for 0655 hrs. Had office vehicle booked for morning drop and evening pickup to and from airport. It wasn't raining but roads were wet. In between, vehicle lost control but I am safe. Thanks to God and Gaikwad, am fine and no damages done to vehicle, driver and me.

Chandigarh airport is very tiny. I find it fascinating because it doesn't have glamour as that of Mumbai, Delhi type airports. Reminds me of the older mumbai and delhi airport. Guess what, we could simply walk to the gate after landing. And if you have some relative expecting you, they are allowed inside the airport and be at gate with garland, bouquet etc. That's kind of nice :)

<strike>More to come as day progresses by. </strike>
Meeting went fine. Objectives attended. Now the second challenging part would be to get things working with three parties involved.

BTW, host treated us to Rasmalai sweet of Chandigarh. It was amazing!! I wished to carry few back but could not as I had to head back to airport with Ankit and Tanmoy. Never mind.
Actually taking up this task only for attaining those side effects. The task would be to write at least one blog a day for one year, even if this means to write back dated entries to accommodate net non-availabilities at times. Bitter pill for you to get side effects at my end :P

Desired side effect is to have my old entries tagged on LJ. Tags were introduced late on LJ. Searching through my older blogs becomes quite difficult whenever I need to refer earlier writings. So the idea would be revisit those older entries and add/edit tags for those.

One entry a day with each entry having links to earlier entries (2004 till 2008) for same date n month.

2004 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/9227.html
2005 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/88750.html, http://peeyush.livejournal.com/89080.html
2008 - http://peeyush.livejournal.com/401692.html

No entries in years - 2006, 2007

Friday was worth thanking God for every bit. A quite nice day. Worth blogging (Yeah, I don't need any excuse to blog :P).

Last week had a tremulous beginning. It had me losing my temper for something or other every alternate day. Needless to say, I gave tough time to my people. But what ends well, is well. Work wise Urja, Vijay, Sony, Kapil, Rajeev, Kapil & involved team mates played important role in ensuring that objectives be driven home finally on Friday. Thanks to each one of you. You brought us the reason to smile and be happy by Friday evening.

We celebrated Urja's bday on Friday, a day prior to the original day. Reason? If we had waited for Monday instead of Friday, I would have missed out on the new cake flavor (Fruit Forest, courtesy Merwans) :D. Bday celebration were attended by Dr Sarat Chandra Sir, Director, C-DAC Hyderabad. Thank you Zia Sir for inviting him on our behalf. Sorry, no photos to share as of yet. Will share when Ranjit makes them available.

C-DAC Mumbai had organized farewell gathering at Ramada for S Ramakrishnan, Former Director General, C-DAC. Many relate well with "Ramki" tag than "S Ramakrishnan" name. But like Dr Phatak & Dr F C Kohli said in appreciation of Ramakrishnan Sir that it's an embodiment of two great names of Gods. It is wrong to make an acronym out of it. Decided yesterday evening that never ever will I use the acronym for Ramakrishnan Sir. Meanwhile, I also need to say this. Aparna accomplished her role of compering the entire event with wonderful grace and professionalism. Great work, Aparna.

SENG team came in close contacts with Ramakrishnan Sir in last two years of working with NSDG. When Hardware & Software procurement for project was in complete mess, Ramakrishnan Sir came in to resolve matters. He spent 5 days in our office making sure things start moving first and then, to right directions. Procurement (H/W, S/W and people) has remained shaky throughout 9 years of my observations. Not just one project but... what an awful nightmare has it been all these years. The team completed development of the most important components on slowest machines with 256 and 512 MB RAM. We got RAM upgraded only after these critical development were complete. Story doesn't end here. Development Servers came in when our development was complete. So now we had all solution ready on Development Server nicely waiting for deployment goodies to be available. Deployment hardware and software came in 6 months later than the original slotted time. I remember him taking local authorities to task and saying that "the team is ready with solution right on target but now there is no deployment hardware & deployment software to deliver it on. Please support these people. This team has brought lot of respect to the organization. Don't let this team down". Yeah, I remember saying this one line "This team has brought respect to the organization" earlier also but never said the remaining ones. I don't like to be disrespectful. But if I don't say the remaining untold things now, I will be dishonest and untruthful to Ramakrishnan Sir and to my team too. I am realizing this as I am writing this blog down. My team had put in all their blood and sweat in their work and Ramakrishnan Sir drove things to their destination when everyone else was running for their personal covers. To think of it, in this year we have been awarded with five more additional funded projects by DIT, our parent body. None of it were possible if it wasn't for this amazing team and Ramakrishnan Sir. DIT has been very appreciative both in words and action for Software Engineering team. Thank you, everyone. Godspeed.

Thank you Ramakrishnan Sir. I agree with ED Sir. You surely have been a great leader and good mentor. While everyone kept saying "we will miss you" to him, I still haven't said "bye" to him. I don't think I will ever say bye to him :)

Not that I am badly tired though I am badly tired. I need a break as an attempt to un-own certain things ownership of which I had assumed over time. Recent times, I have noticed an upsurge in my irritation level, my ego. I hate both these things. Both of them gives pain to others when they come in and then to myself when others leave. At the end of it, no matter which way I analyze, I can't find reasons to justify that behavior. There's enough guilt to bear with at the end of the day.

Am better off walking unknown roads then walking over known paths with prejudice.

There are them. Their smiles are infectious. As they walk amongst you, an invisible breeze of comfort creeps in. They can uplift your spirit with charismatic ease. They are the angels amongst us.

Selfish Giant is my favorite story. For I can relate to Giant of that story. But then it took more than few kids to break that giant in me. Or was it the typical teenage syndrome. I would be wary of even coming close to them. Scared about them creating mess on me. Irritated about playing by their rules and not by the natural rules of the game. There were so many things I disliked about them. But then slowly they overpowered me. And very sweetly, they did.

My cousin, Nonu, was probably the first one to do so. No matter how much I would try run away from her, she would keep persisting with me only. We used to meet during summer vacations and entire vacation would be spent fighting each other. Then when time came for her to return, she told her mom - "bhaiya kau saath lae chalo. Apne pass didi tau hain, bhaiya nahin hain.". Part of my sweet memories.

Then there is Mogli. He would also hang around with me wherever we went together. He enjoyed holding my hand even if bro and bhabhi were with us when we would be walking down streets. Sometimes we would walk down street with him riding my shoulder. And he would trust me about his safety with me when doing so whereas I would go nuts about moving around like that. But yep, nevertheless it was fun.

Then there was our neighbour's younger kid - Nidhi. She hit the last nail in Giant's coffin. Even when she was less than an year old, she somehow seemed to form some sort of bond with me. She would be very happy to see me. She would stop crying after she would come into my arms. She would be waiting for my return from college with eager eyes. Miss her a lot as they moved to some other apartment. But whenever we used to meet or call each other on phone, she would be eager to talk to me or know about me from mom.

Do I need to say anything about Kirtana? You must have found many things about her in my blogs. She is one person I always look forward to meet in office. Even now she very simply dedicates her drawings, her craft to me. My cube is decorated with at least 3 mementos from her. We enjoy going to Naturals (icecream parlor), sharing pizza, meet at lunch/snacks time and sharing riddles.

The latest in this lot will be... Anvita :). May be you expected me to talk about Yashika. Yashika's there too. But then like I said, latest kid friend is Anvita. Or is it really Anvita? No, Not Anvita but Anahita. Never mind. They both have surprised me, to be honest. I started chatting with Anvita much before we met in Bangalore. We would inquire about each other. Then after a couple of chats, she very simply typed this sweet line - "I love you, mama". It was warm and melting. How much more luckier can I feel! On reaching Bangalore, I was desperately waiting for evening so that I could move out of office and meet Anvita. But more and more pleasant surprises awaited me at her home. Had never talked to Anahita and we were to meet as complete strangers. But it took her just 5 minutes to get comfortable with me. She came to me, got the orange skin peeled off by me, insisted to hold my hand when walking down, sharing seat with me when Swapnil drove us to temple. Not just that, she even obliged my requests for eating her breakfast, stop crying and then neatly pose as I took photographs of her. The best moments in Bangalore was when these two kids held my both hands as we walked around places. It was a heavenly feeling.

I see God, I feel God in them. It's like God have sent them to take best care of me. I have best times with kids. Even with those with no acquaintance. It has happened quite often that during office bus trip, I would see kids in passing-by bus or rickshaw sharing smile with me. That smile would make my day. I surely am lucky. For some reasons, even when I am not paying attention, these passing by kids keep their eyes fixed on me. And whenever our eyes meet, I would notice them seeing me continuously. Then where I spend my time thinking if I know them, they become the first one to start smiling. And I just can't help it but end up smiling at my end. They surely know how to bring out best and the most genuine smile out of me :)

God bless you, O' my angels.
